Badminton –

FUND-RAISING EVENT.

Next Wednesday, Badminton Malta will be organising a fund-raising activity in aid of Inspire – the Foundation for Inclusion. This is the Association's way of helping such a noble philanthropic cause; it has been regularly organised on an annual basis during these last years.

The event will take the form of a friendly team competition and will be taking place at the Cottonera Sports Complex between 6:00pm and 9:00pm.

There will be continuous Badminton play on six courts between a number of teams whose respective individual members will be coming from different clubs. Each fixture will showcase the five separate categories of the game: Men’s and Women’s Singles, Men’s and Women’s Doubles as well as Mixed Doubles.

There will be a court which will be reserved for the general public. Everyone will be given the opportunity to try his hand at playing Badminton .... even outright beginners or those who may have played the game in their school days. No age limitation will apply.

Children and youths will be particularly welcome to venture on court. Experienced coaches will be in attendance throughout the entire event.

All the participation fees collected by Badminton Malta from those taking part will be donated in full to Inspire.

A "Donations Box" will also be available in the sports hall during the event.

Badminton Malta members, who cannot attend the event, have been encouraged to collect donations from friends and relatives.

Badminton Malta invites the general and the sporting public to support this event in order to help Inspire while having fun playing.
